Emergency Preparedness & Response Information
for the Jo Daviess County Health Department
If you believe that you have been exposed to a biological or chemical agent, or if you believe an intentional biological threat will occur or is occurring, please contact your local police or other law enforcement agency and/or your local health department. If you feel that the notification system for a mass emergency of any kind needs to be activated, please contact the Sheriff's Office.
The Jo Daviess County Health Department has staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any health related emergency that occurs in Jo Daviess County.
Office hours are 8:00 am. to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Call 815-777-0263.
If you need to contact someone regarding an emergency after business hours, please contact the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office at 1-815-777-2141 and that office will notify the appropriate health department staff member that will address your concern.
